A package made of foil material comprises two panels which are mutually connected in a first area by a folding line, two permanent welding seams and a detachable (peelable) welding seam. A fluid-tight packaging space is defined between the folding line and the weld seams. Further, in a second area that connects to the first area, a valve or flap is defined which is passed over the first area and which is adhered to that first area. The two permanent weld seams are connected to each other in a fluid-tight manner, for example by overlapping each other. 公开号:BE1020141A3 申请号:E2011/0203 申请日:2011-04-05 公开日:2013-05-07 发明作者:Patrick Toemen 申请人:Langeveld & Sleegers B V; IPC主号:
专利说明:
Reclosable packaging and method for packaging products The invention relates to a package made of foil material, comprising two panels which are mutually connected in a first area by a fold line, two permanent weld seams and a detachable (peelable) weld seam, between which fold line and weld seams a packaging space is defined, and which is defined in a packaging space. second region that connects to the first region defines a valve which is passed over the first region and which is adhered to that first region. Such a package is known, for example from WO-A-01/10736. This known package has two permanent weld seams which run parallel to each other in the longitudinal direction of the package. Furthermore, a detachable weld seam is provided, which runs parallel to the fold and transversely between the permanent weld seams. The flap of this known package is connected to the package by a detachable adhesive layer. The permanent welds are obtained by heating the foil material and pressing it together in a stamp. The nature of the weld obtained is such that the weld seams cannot be detached easily and without tearing. The releasable weld seam, on the other hand, initially gives a gas-tight seal, but on the other hand it is easier to remove. Due to the lower adhesive force, the foil material will not tear when it is released, so that the opened package remains intact and can be closed again by the valve. Once the detachable weld seam has been opened, the package can no longer be sealed gas-tight. The packages as described above are usually formed from a long, double-folded web of film material. The product to be packaged, whether or not together with a protective gas, is introduced into the tube of foil material thus obtained. The welds are applied and the package is cut loose by means of a specially shaped stamp, the shape of which is matched to the shape of the package to be obtained. Because of the position of the fold, the packages extend transversely to the web of film material, which means that the dimensions of the obtained flap depend on the dimensions of the packaging area and hence on the size of the product to be packaged. The object of the invention is to provide a package that allows for more flexible production of the packages. That goal is achieved because the two permanent weld seams connect to each other, for example, overlap each other. The fold in the web of film material thus coincides with the longitudinal direction of the package, which is thereby itself also directed in the longitudinal direction of the web of film material. The length of the flap can then be chosen freely, regardless of the size of the rest of the package and of the product to be packaged. The releasable weld seam can then run parallel to one of the permanent weld seams and overlap the other permanent weld seam. Furthermore, the detachable weld seam can overlap the fold. The manner in which the weld seams connect to each other can be obtained, as stated, by overlapping each other. However, other ways of connecting are also possible, such as the fluid-tight head abutting one welding seam against the other welding seam and the like without there being any overlap, etc. The connection can preferably be fluid-tight in order to obtain a fluid-tight packaging space. After breaking the releasable weld seam, the package can be closed again if the flap is adhered to the first area by a reclosing means. Said reclosing means may for instance comprise a glue connection between the flap and the first region. A detachable sticker can also be used which extends over the flap and over the first area. Furthermore, the panels can have the same dimensions parallel to the folding line. The opened package therefore has the appearance of a bag, which gives the package an authentic appearance. The packaging space is preferably fluid-tight. Such a fluid-tight packaging space may contain a protective gas atmosphere, such as an atmosphere with approximately 50% CO2 and approximately 50% N2. The package is particularly suitable for a food product, such as slices of cheese or meat products. In that case a carrier, such as a tray, can also be present in the packaging space on which the food product is received. A suitable plastic can be chosen for the foil material, such as a laminate of PE, EVOH, PE and PET. Furthermore, an embodiment is possible in which the film material comprises a layer of transparent plastic material and a layer of paper material, which layer of paper material partially covers the layer of plastic material on the outside while leaving a window for observing the interior of the package. The invention further relates to a method for packaging a food product, such as slices of cheese or meat products, in a package according to any one of the preceding claims, comprising the steps of: - providing a web of foil material, - folding the web of foil material double according to a longitudinal fold forming two film material parts, - joining the free longitudinal edges of the film material parts together to form a longitudinal seam, - introducing a content between the film material parts in the space between the longitudinal fold and the longitudinal seam, - applying a transverse seam between the film material parts, - applying a detachable (peelable) welding seam opposite the transverse seam to form a packaging area in which the contents are located, - applying a cut in the film material parts at a predetermined distance from the detachable welding seam of a flap with a predetermined longitudinal dimension, folding over the fl ap about the packaging area. attaching the flap to the packaging area. As already explained above, this method offers the advantage that the flap can always have a specific, desired length dimension, independent of the dimensions of the rest of the package. Usually, a protective gas atmosphere is first provided in the film material parts welded to each other, after which a series of products are incorporated therein one after the other. Only then will the cross seams be applied by a suitably shaped stamp in the right place relative to the products located one behind the other and immediately thereafter the packages thus formed are separated from each other. The invention will be explained in more detail below with reference to an exemplary embodiment of the package shown in the figures. Figure 1 shows a bottom view of the package with the flap folded open. Figure 2 shows a bottom view of the package with the flap closed. Figure 3 shows the view according to III of Figure 1. Figure 4 shows the view according to IV of Figure 2. Figure 5 shows the view according to V of Figure 1. Figure 6 shows a view corresponding to that of Figure 5 with the package in the open position. The package shown in Figures 1-5 consists of a foil material which is folded in two according to the fold 1 into two panels 2, 3. Opposite the fold 1 the panels 2, 3 are attached to each other by a permanent weld seam 4. A second permanent weld 5 extends between this weld seam 4 and the fold 1. Parallel to the second permanent weld seam 5, the releasable weld seam 6 is provided. Between the two panels 2, 3, these weld seams 4-6 and the fold 1 define a gas-tight packaging space 7, in which the product 8 to be packaged, such as slices of cheese or slices of meat products, is located. The package further comprises the flap 9 consisting of the rest of the panels 2, 3 and extending from the detachable weld seam 6. In the condition shown in Figs. 2 and 4, this flap 9 is fixed by means of the detachable sticker 10 on the panel 2 located below. By detaching this sticker 10, the flap 9 can be folded back as shown in figures 1 and 5. In that state, the detachable weld seam 6 can be opened, whereby the product 8 becomes accessible as shown in figure 6. After the product 8 or part thereof has thus been removed from the package, it can be closed again by folding back the flaps 9 and closing them with the sticker 10. A protective gas atmosphere can be present in the packaging space 7 for preserving the product. product 8. This gas atmosphere is maintained until the releasable weld seam 6 is opened. The package can then be closed again, but without a protective gas atmosphere still present. Nevertheless, it is useful to close the package because the product 8 can then be stored in a better protected condition, such as in a refrigerator, for example to prevent dehydration. Although the figure shows that the fold around which the flap 9 is located is above the releasable weld seam 6, this fold can alternatively be located below it. In that case the releasable weld seam 6 is located in the flap 9. As already mentioned, Figures 1 and 2 show the underside of the package. The package is therefore presented with the other side up. As a result, the flap located on the underside of the package does not therefore obstruct the view of the products in the package. Although the consumer does not immediately see the flap, he will immediately realize that the package can be resealed as soon as the package is used. During packaging, the packages are moved in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in Figure 1. The web of film material from which the packages are obtained by cutting loose also moves in that direction, whereby an even, smooth treatment of the packages is ensured. In that context, it is also important to use a transparent foil that makes it possible to see the products.
